In Grand Gedeh Co: LDEA Arrests Foreign National With Cocaine

On May 14, 2025, officers of the Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA) assigned at the Zwedru Gate One, in Grand Gedeh County, arrested Emeka A. Peters, a 41-year-old Nigerian national, while en route from Monrovia to Maryland County.

Suspect Peters, according to the LDEA, was found in possession of 232 grams of mixed cocaine, with an estimated street value of US$928 or L$176,320.

The arrest was part of ongoing efforts to intercept illegal drug trafficking across county lines.

Following the arrest, the suspect, the LDEA said, was investigated, formally charged, and forwarded to court, where he now awaits trial.

Female Suspect With Narcotics In Grand Kru

In a related development, the agency said it arrested Rose Toe, a 46-year-old Liberian female, residing in the Buah Geeken, Grand Kru County, in connection with the possession of illegal narcotics.

The arrest, made in plain view, led to the seizure of the seven kilograms of high-grade marijuana valued at L$138,600, 66 wraps of Kush valued at L$26,136 and 35 packs of high-grade tobacco valued at L$10,500.

The total estimated street value of the confiscated substances is L$175,236, equivalent to US$923

Following her arrest, Suspect Rose Toe was formally investigated, charged, and transferred to court for prosecution in accordance with the law.

In Foya, In Lofa County

In another development, the Agency, acting on credible intelligence, conducted a successful “buy and bust operation” leading to the arrest of Tinneh Willey, a 54-year-old Liberian and resident of the AG Community, Foya District in Lofa County.

During the operation, LDEA said, Suspect Willey was apprehended immediately after hand-delivering marijuana. A subsequent search led to the discovery of 300 wraps of marijuana, marijuana stems and one can of marijuana concealed in a black plastic bag.

The total estimated street value of the confiscated drugs is L$22,995.

Following her arrest, Tinneh Willey was taken to the LDEA office in Foya, and later transferred to LDEA headquarters in Voinjama City for further investigation. She has since been formally charged and forwarded to the Voinjama City Magisterial Court for prosecution.

Three Suspects In River Gee

In a latest news, a team of LDEA officers, led by the Deputy Commander, executed a search and seizure warrant operation in Tienpo and Younken communities, River Gee County.

During the operation, officers discovered the following illegal substances in the home of three female suspects.

Half plate of compressed marijuana, six wraps of marijuana and one bottle of King Juice mixed with marijuana.

The total estimated street value of the confiscated substances is L$15,600.

The suspects arrested in connection with the discovery are, Tetee Bestman, 38 years old Liberian, Naomi Bestman, 41 years old Liberian, and Lovetee Jimmy, 22 years old, Liberian.

All three suspects are currently in LDEA custody at the entity’s Fish Town City office, where they are undergoing investigation. They will be formally charged and forwarded to court for prosecution in accordance with the law.

Another In Cape-Mt.

The agency executed another search and seizure warrant issued by the Robertsport Magisterial Court, Grand Cape Mounty County, at the residence of one Helena Joe, a 39-year-old Liberian national and resident of Fanti Town Community, Robertsport City.

During the operation, LDEA officers discovered illegal substances including 0.25 kg of marijuana, four strips of tramadol, and four grams of Kush. The estimated street value of the confiscated drugs L$35,530.

Following her arrest, the agency said, Suspect Helena Joe was turned over to the investigation section, formally charged, and forwarded to the Robertsport Magisterial Court for trial.
