In Grand Bassa County: Man Found Dead On Family Farm

22

In Grand Bassa County, a man, believed to be in his late twenties, was on Sunday, May 4, 2025, found dead on his family’s farm in the BIA Community.

The deceased, later identified as Lincoln Bee, was discovered by his father, Henry Bee; a First Lieutenant soldier of the Armed Forces of Liberia (AFL).

According to F/Lt Bee, four former workers were hired to collect wood for charcoal production on the farm.

“Later in the evening, I noticed that the workers were in town without my son. Shortly thereafter, I started getting different stories about Lincoln’s whereabouts. I quickly felt that something had gone wrong,” Lt Bee narrated.

He said, he and other volunteers searched the farm and found his son’s body near a creek with bruises on his corpse that pointed to a ‘foul-play.’

A thinking the coroner-jury ruled out, noting: “We did see any clear sign of foul-play on Lincoln’s body.”

Meanwhile, officers of the Liberia National Police assigned in the county have arrested the four workers for further interrogation.

The four men were last seen on the farm shortly before Lincoln’s death.

As the investigation continues, the community is left wondering what led to this tragic event and what it means for their safety.
