Residents of Guo in Electoral District #4, Bong County, are being faced with water crisis, because all three hand pumps in the community have developed mechanical faults.
For that, the inhabitants have difficulty to fetch safe drinking water.
Residents say, the situation has forced some households to depend on streams, ponds, swamps, and nearby rivers for water.
Community members said, the no water supply has created challenges for families as some of them often spent considerable time in search of alternative sources of water for use.
Residents expressed particular concern about the health risks associated with using untreated water from streams, and other sources.
They have meanwhile appealed to the county authorities, humanitarian organizations, and other well-meaning individuals to repair the damaged hand pumps.
