Residents of Grand Kru County will have to wait until after the New Year to receive Vice President Jeremiah Kpan Koung, following the postponement of his anticipated visit due to heavy rainfall.

The disclosure was made by Senator Bartekwa during his nighttime radio program, Bartekwa Constituency Hour, aired on Voice of Grand Kru 98.1 FM.

According to the senator, the prevailing weather conditions prompted the decision to defer the Vice President’s trip to the county.

The postponement leaves the Vice President’s travel plans on hold, with no specific date announced for the rescheduled visit.

The announcement has brought attention to the challenges weather conditions can pose to travel arrangements, particularly in areas where heavy rainfall may affect accessibility.

However, Senator Bartekwa did not provide further details about the specific logistical difficulties associated with the planned trip.

Residents and other stakeholders will now await an official update on when Vice President Koung is expected to visit the county.
