The Commander of the Liberia Immigration Service (LIS) in Grand Kru County, Augustine Gbolego, has called for additional logistical support to strengthen immigration operations, despite the recent provision of uniforms and office equipment to officers in the county.

Gbolego made the appeal on Thursday, October 15, 2026, while expressing appreciation to the service’s national leadership for providing uniforms to 40 immigration officers, along with essential supplies for the county detachment.

According to him, the provision of uniforms represents a significant boost to officers’ morale, professionalism, and institutional identity as they perform their official duties.

The Grand Kru Detachment also received office equipment and supplies, including a computer, printer, office chair, sheets of paper, and other materials intended to improve administrative operations.

However, Gbolego stressed that additional resources remain necessary to enable officers to effectively carry out their responsibilities across the county.

He disclosed that the detachment currently operates with only two motorbikes, a situation he said limits its ability to meet its transportation and operational needs.

The commander therefore appealed to the relevant authorities and partners to provide additional motorbikes and other logistical support to strengthen the detachment’s capacity.

While the recent provision of uniforms and office supplies is expected to improve the working conditions of immigration officers, Gbolego’s appeal highlights the need for sustained institutional support to ensure effective immigration services throughout Grand Kru County.
