Garsinii Opens First Vocational Training Center

Former Electoral District #1 representative candidate, Dennis Garsinii, is scheduled to dedicate a newly constructed vocational training center in Kokoyah District later this month.

The project is expected to expand access to technical and vocational education for young people and adults in one of Bong County’s underserved communities.

The center, which Mr. Garsinii describes as the first permanent technical and vocational education institution in Kokoyah District, is intended to equip residents with practical skills that can help them secure employment, establish small businesses and improve their livelihoods.

Garsinii: “The initiative is driven by the growing need to empower young people with marketable skills at a time when unemployment and limited educational opportunities continue to challenge many communities.”

He said, the institution will serve not only residents of Kokoyah District, but also neighboring towns and villages, creating opportunities for people, who have long been unable to access formal technical and vocational education and training (TVET).

Garsinii noted that for years, students and job seekers interested in vocational education have had to travel outside the district in search of training opportunities, an obstacle that has discouraged many from pursuing skills development.

He believes the new center will remove that barrier by bringing quality vocational education closer to the people.

Garsinii expressed optimism that the project will contribute to reduce youth unemployment, strengthen local entrepreneurship and promote sustainable economic growth throughout Kokoyah District.

Residents have welcomed the initiative. They described it as a timely investment in human capital and a significant step to expand educational opportunities in the district.
