The Office of former Vice President Jewel Howard-Taylor has categorically denied the drug-trafficking and related charges against her in connection with the ongoing cocaine investigation.
The office described the allegations as baseless and claimed that certain elements within the government are plotting to fabricate evidence against her using artificial intelligence.
The office further said Madam Taylor has had no involvement in any drug-trafficking operations or criminal networks, asserting that her official interactions and engagements during her tenure as vice president should not be misconstrued as evidence of criminal activity.
In a statement issued over the weekend, the office alleged that it has been made aware of plans to manipulate or create audio and visual recordings through AI technology to manufacture evidence against Madam Taylor, warning that any such material would be subject to independent forensic scrutiny.
The release also described the case as a politically- motivated witch-hunt and an abuse of state power, as the office vowed to vigorously contest the allegations in court.
It urged the government to present its evidence and allow the judiciary to ascertain the facts, asserting that the case should rely on verifiable evidence rather than political pressure or fabricated narratives.
