Ex. Bong Co. Candidate Accuses Gov’t Officials, But

In a startling revelation, former Armed Forces of Liberia Captain, Jerry Kollie, a former representative candidate of Bong county electoral district #2, has accused high-ranking government officials of being complicit in drug trafficking operations.

In an interview with journalists on Monday, October 6, 2025, at his Paynesville office, Kollie expressed discontent with the current administration, asserting that government’s efforts to combat drug-related issues are undermined by the very individuals charged with enforcing the law.

“This is not just an accusation; it is a wakeup call to action,” Kollie said.

“How can we eradicate drug trafficking when those in power are the main actors in this illicit trade? It is a mockery of the government proclaimed fight against drugs.” Kollie’s allegations come amid growing concerns over drug abuse and trafficking, which has been a persistent issue impacting communities nationwide.

He spoke of the need for transparency and accountability in the drug fight, urging citizens to be aware of the actions of their leaders.

Government has yet to respond to Kollie’s accusations, as the country grapples with these serious allegations, the call for accountability and reform continues to resonate among the populace.

In another development, Capt. Kollie has commended the leadership of the Alternative National Congress (ANC) for conducting a “successful and peaceful convention.”

Kollie therefore acknowledge the ANC advocacy for good governance, and holding the current Administration accountable in an objective and non-violent manner, while offering constructive alternatives to pressing national issues, collaboration among political institutions.

He spoke of unity and dialogue as vital to ensuring peace and stability ahead of future elections.
