Deacon Torlah Urges Members

By Samuel Flomo, Jr.

Deacon Saye Torlah of the Holy Life Church in Gbarnga, Bong County, has urged the congregation to remain steadfast in their faith, and continue trusting in Jesus Christ in spite of difficulties, and uncertainties they may encounter in life.

Deacon Torlah made the call during a church service in Gbarnga when he delivered a sermon under the theme: “When You Have an Encounter with Jesus, You Change Directions.”

His message was drawn from Mark 5:25–34, a biblical account about a woman, who had suffered from an issue of blood for 12 years, and was healed after reaching out, and touching Jesus’ garment.

Torlah: “The story demonstrates the transformative power of faith, and the impact an encounter with Jesus Christ can have on a person’s life.”

He said, a genuine encounter with Christ can change an individual’s direction, renew hope, strengthen faith, and provide the courage needed to overcome difficult circumstances.

He cautioned worshippers against allowing hardships, disappointments, delays, or personal struggles to weaken their relationship with God.

Torlah meanwhile, encouraged believers to remain committed to Christ even when their prayers appear unanswered, or when the circumstances surrounding them seem difficult to understand.
