AFL, LNP Officials Visit Wounded Personnel
In a show of solidarity and support, the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of Liberia and the Inspector General of Police visited wounded police personnel on February 27, 2005, at the JFK ELWA Hospitals. This visit followed a meeting at the Ministry of Justice concerning the unfortunate incident that occurred yesterday. During the visit, the Chief of Staff and the Inspector General expressed their deepest concerns for the well-being of the injured police officers and conveyed their appreciation for the rapid response of medical staff. The medical doctors at both hospitals said that the injured personnel are currently receiving the necessary treatments and are responding positively to care. The Armed Forces Liberia and the Liberia National Police said they are dedicated to working collaboratively to uphold peace and security in Liberia. The High Command of the Armed Forces of Liberia said it takes this matter seriously and is committed to ensuring that due process is followed. “Transparency and justice will guide our approach as we work together to resolve this matter fairly and justly,” the AFL has assured.
