Renowned businessman, Wesley Jugbe Nagbe, has donated one drum of fuel, and a 25-kilogram bag of rice to the Buah Business Community.
the items are to support ongoing road rehabilitation of the Nrokia/Buah corridor in Grand Kru County Electoral District #2.
Nagbe told reporters that his contribution is in support of local efforts to restore road connectivity, and improve transportation for residents.
As a prominent citizen of Dorbor Statutory District, Nagbe emphasized the need for every citizen to contribute to national development, particularly in communities where government intervention remains limited.
He said, citizens and businesspeople should work together to address pressing development challenges rather than remain inactive while their communities struggle.
The Nrokia/Buah road serves as a vital transportation link for catchment communities in the districts.
The deplorable condition of the road has made movement difficult, affecting access to healthcare, the transportation of goods, and other essential services.
The poor road conditions have also raised concerns about emergency medical access, particularly for pregnant women.
Nagbe said, his contribution was made in collaboration with Hilary Gray, Chief Executive Officer of Borboh Incorporated, who has made his personal yellow machines available to the business community to facilitate the rehabilitation exercise.
Contributions from businesspeople, and other concerned citizens, Nagbe said, can address some of the development gaps confronting rural communities.
In a related development, the county development officer has identified five roads for priority rehabilitation.
Joe Momo Sekpeh has major roads in every part of the county for quick rehabilitation.
Sekpeh recommendation came shortly after the official commissioning of earth-moving equipment.
The roads identified for priority attention are the Barclayville/Picnicess Road; Barclayville/Grandcess Road, which provides access to the referral hospital; Sasstown/Nwronkwia/Buah Jlateken Road; Dweken/Parluken Road, and Wakpoh/Piteah Road.
