Health facilities in Grand Kru County have benefitted from the delivery of new vaccines, and drug supplies.

The exercise followed receipt of Quarter Four vaccines, and related supplies from the National Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI), and Quarter Three drug supplies from the Central Medical Stores (CMS).

The supplies, received by the Grand Kru County Health Team, have been delivered to the County Depot in Barclayville for proper storage, inventory management, and subsequent distribution to other health facilities.

The delivery is to support healthcare workers to provide essential medical services to residents, including children.

With the commodities now at the county depot, the next step is their distribution to other health facilities to maintain the available medicines and vaccines.

Timely distribution will ensure that communities, including the hard-to-reach areas, can access the health services they need.

The Grand Kru County Health Team has expressed appreciation to the Ministry of Health, EPI, and the Central Medical Stores for their continued support in strengthening healthcare delivery.

The team focus is how the medicines will be properly handled and distributed to health facilities serving communities in the county.
