The Association of Liberian Journalists in the Americas (ALJA), has announced the resignation of its Secretary-General, Success A. Minor.
Minor has cited “personal reasons” that required his full attention.
In a formal resignation letter addressed to ALJA President Joey Kennedy, Minor stated that his decision takes immediate effect following a “careful reflection and consideration.”
The announcement marks a leadership transition for ALJA, which represents Liberian journalists in the United States, Canada, and other parts of the Americas.
ALJA has long served as a platform for promoting press freedom, ethical journalism, professional development, and collaboration among Liberian media practitioners living abroad.
In his resignation letter, Minor expressed deep appreciation to Pres. Kennedy, the National Executive Committee, and the Association’s membership for the trust and confidence placed in him during his tenure.
Although he has relinquished his executive responsibilities, Minor said, his relationship with the Association remains unchanged.
Minor also thanked members of the National Executive Committee and the wider ALJA membership for their cooperation, friendship, and unwavering support throughout his period of service.
He extended his best wishes to Pres. Kennedy and the Association’s leadership as they continue implementing programs to strengthen Liberian journalism within the diaspora.
