20 Pick-ups, 36 Motorbikes Distributed To CACs, DAOs Nationwide

The Minister of Agriculture, Dr. J. Alexander Nuetah has presented 17 Pick-ups and 36 Yamaha motorbikes to the Ministry of Agriculture’s County Agriculture Coordinators ( CACs) and District Agriculture Officers (DAOs) nationwide.Minister Nuetah made the presentation on Tuesday, August 25, 2026 at the Ministry of Agriculture’s Project Management Unit office in Gardnersville. The Agriculture boss said the presentation of the pick-ups and motorbikes to the CACs and DAOs is in furtherance of President Joseph NyumaBoakai’s strong desire to improve the agriculture sector of Liberia .He indicated that the move is intended to ease challenges faced by agricultural technicians in the field, and boost speedy monitoring and engagement with farmers in the rural parts of the country. Minister Nuetah noted that with the vehicles, CACs and DAOs will now have the responsibility of ensuring government’s agriculture agenda is successful. ” We are empowering you to perform and take on the responsibility to make agriculture work for our people,” Dr. Nuetah said. ” You are expected to go where the farmers are and help them succeed,” he added. He said  15 pick-ups are for the 15 Counties CACs , two pick-ups for two Regional Agriculture Coordinators and three for other divisions within the ministry. He disclosed that funds for the purchase of the vehicles  were made possible through the 2026 National Budget. Minister Nuetah used the occasion to praise the CACs and DAOs for their immense sacrifices over the years, and cautioned  them to use the vehicles responsibly in the discharge of the duties. ” The car must be in the county to do our job,” he stated. Meanwhile, Minister Nuetah has revealed that all Ministry of Agriculture’s County Offices nationwide will be fully rehabilitated, begining with MargibiMontserrado. He said seven offices will be rehabilitated this year. At the say time, Hon. Moses Gbanyan, Deputy Minister for Research and Extension at the Ministry of Agriculture expressed profound gratitude to Minister Nuetah for his selfless developmental initiatives at the ministry, and thanked him for the donation. ” Hon. Minister, we are grateful to you for this donation,” Deputy Minister Gbanyansaid.”I worked here before becoming a minister. Almost 10 ten years we have not seen what you and your team did today,” he added. Also in a joyful mood, madamNounouSharty, CAC of Grand Gedeh and chairman of the CAC praised Dr. Nuetah and team for the transformation at the MOA and promised that they will deliver on the president’s mandate. Madam Zipporah C. Page, RAC of Region  – 3 under the MOA lavished praises on the management team at MOA for their vision and farsightedness in developing agriculture in Liberia.
