Team Grigsby, Teahjay Senior Executive Endorses Weah Re-election

The former Speaker of the Mano River Union Youth Parliament (MRUYP) Liberia-Chapter and  Senior Executive member of recent Sinoe County Legislative candidates, Maxwell Teklo Grigsby and outgoing Senator Milton Teahjay, Melvin Sarh, has endorsed the re-election bid of President George Manneh Weah and is also rallying Sinoeans in and outside of the county to massively vote President Weah. Reading the endorsement statement in Monrovia,  the recent Campaign Steering Committee Chairperson of Team Grigsby and a senior executive of outgoing Senator Teahjay said, he endorsed and will support President Weah and the Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) in the impending November 14, 2023 Runoff Presidential Elections, because of the President’s massive development efforts in Liberia. He continued: “I must make it emphatically clear that supporters of teams Grigsby and Teahjay hold memberships in several political parties including the CDC and UP, so I don’t see my support to President Weah as a betrayal and it will not be a betrayal to either of the two leaders, all of whom I hold in high esteem, by calling on their respective supporters to support and vote His Excellency Ambassador Weah and Vice President Howard-Taylor for their second term.” Sarh has called on all members of Team Grigsby and Teahjay to put behind their differences with party executives of the CDC regardless of how the two teams were badly treated; which led to the kind of results they got during the October 10, 2023 elections. According to him,  it is noteworthy to state that Atty. Grigsby and Senator Teahjay immensely supported President Weah in the just-ended October 10, 2023, presidential elections; however, some influential party executives of the CDC both at national and county levels, deliberately ignored Teahjay and Grigsby’s immense support to President Weah during the first round of the elections and conducted the affairs of the CDC in a manner that undermined the legislative election of the two independent candidates thus producing unfavorable outcomes for the two candidates. Sarh further stressed: “Considering the need to provide direction to those we provided leadership to during the entire period of the campaign process in the just-ended presidential and general elections; and those who are still needing direction from us, I have come to state a position that provides the needed direction for the run-off elections and that direction that I Melvin Sarh, Campaign Steering Committee Chairperson of Team Grigsby and a Senior Executive of Team Teahjay, endorsed and will support President Weah and the CDC in the impending November 14, 2023, runoff elections.” He reminded supporters of Grigsby and Teahjay, that they constitute a powerful bloc with a great deal of influence over the people of Sinoe, hence,  they could be making a terrible mistake by allowing their differences to becloud their reasoning, if they do not support their son, Weah.
