Rep. Dahn Uses Car Benefit To Provide Water, Latrines For Constituents By: Julius Konton
Montserrado County District Seven Representative Emmanuel Dahn is now constructing latrines as well as hand pumps in his District as part of efforts to give back to his people.
The ongoing project the District Seven Lawmaker stated is in fulfillment of his campaign promise to his people.
Currently, the installation processes are ongoing in some communities within the District to include: Mamba Point, Front Street, Newport among others.
Speaking to reporters, Representative Dahn disclosed that his using one of his lawmaker’s benefit of 45,000usd for vehicle allotment given him to provide safe drinking water and clean latrine for his people.
” I can’t feel good riding a big or expensive car and my people don’t have safe drinking water or public latrine to use,” he explained.
According to him, he is continuing his work to improve the lives of his people.
He said over the period, residents of his District have struggles to get the safe drinking water and public latrines as such, his current intervention is key.
“The people are now hailing us for this intervention and we need we promise to do more in order to keep their smiles lighting, ” he said.
Speaking to some of the beneficiaries, they termed the ongoing project as timely and a promise kept by their lawmaker.
“We are happy for this project and we believe our lawmaker will do more for us”, the further explained.
Unlike before, residents of the densely populated district of seven, Montserrado County will enjoy the drinking of safe water and good hygiene especially good public latrine facilities among others.
