“Regionalization Is Demonic, Sinful, Reject It”, -Dr. Kulah Tells UMC

A suspended prelate of the United Methodist Church, Rev. Dr. Jerry P. Kulah, said regionalization, as allegedly promoted by the Bishop of the UMC, Samuel Quire is demonic and sinful. According to him, such a move is only intended to destroy the United Methodist Church in Liberia with a call for the decision to be resisted by Methodists in the country. β€œI want you to know that regionalization is demonic and sinful. It is only intended to destroy the United Methodist Church in Liberia,” Dr. Kulah asserted. He stated that regionalization is solely intended to promote same-sex marriage in the United Methodist Church of Liberia rather than upholding the true gospel of Jesus Christ. Following recommendations from an investigative committee and the Church Counsel of the Board of Ordained Ministry, Rev.Β  Jerry Kulah was suspended by the United Methodist Church for allegedly promoting the Global Methodist Church, a breakaway denomination opposed to same-sex marriage and the ordination of non-celibate LGBTQ clergy. Before his suspension, Rev. Kulah served as Vice President at the Bishop John G. Innis Graduate School of Professional Studies at the United Methodist University. He faces multiple allegations of actions that allegedly undermine the UMC’s teachings, unity, and policies; something that he has denied. The UMC accuses Rev. Kulah of violating Paragraph 2702.1 (c, d, e, & f) of the UMC Discipline. Despite his suspension, Dr Kulah is calling on methodists in Liberia to reject Bishop Quire’s decision for the UMC to remain with the Worldwide United Methodist Church that is now practicing same-sex marriage. He has excused Bishop Samuel Quire of refusing to convene a special session to discuss the situation since he attended the global conference of the UMC in America where same-sex marriage was adopted.
