Police Declares Queen Johnson, Others wanted
The Liberia National Police has declared wanted, a staunch member of the Unity Party identified as Peaches Queen Johnson and others for allegedly being linked to the death of Ministry of Information pageant trainer, Joshua Solomon. It can be recalled that the Liberia National Police on Saturday, December 4, 2023 launched an investigation into the death of Joshua Solomon as the sad incident surrounding his demise occurred in the 72nd Community. LNP Spokesperson, Moses Carter told a news conference Monday, December 4, 2023 in Monrovia that everyone captured in the electoral violence video footage that is believed to have caused the death of Solomon will be arrested and be made to give their sides of the story.
He said the police have intensified efforts to identify and apprehend these suspects, indicating that the LNP is committed to ensuring that those responsible will be held accountable and brought to justice. The LNP however called on anyone in the public with useful information regarding the whereabouts of these wanted individuals to come forward and assist in the investigation. He stressed that it is presumed that one is innocent until found guilty in the court of competent jurisdiction, adding that the process is an ongoing investigation seeking to establish facts and circumstances that led to the death of the 34-year-old man. Meanwhile, Moses Carter emphasized that the identity of Queen Johnson in the ongoing investigation is not a witch-hunt and as such, nobody should claim that notion.
