I Missed a Friend

0

I missed a real friend indeed,

I missed a friend with a heart of gold.

I missed a friend who was never cold,

I missed a friend who was always bold.

I missed a friend who stood for a cause,

I missed a friend who could never pause.

I missed a friend who stood for what was right,

I missed a friend who stood for the fight.

I missed a friend who was there in all seasons,

I missed a friend who stood by his reasons.

He was there for me during every storm,

He was there for me to blow my horn.

He was there for me to plant my corn,

He was there for me to beat my drum.

He was there for me through thick and thin,

He was there for me when the battles began.

He was there for me during political battles,

He was there for me when the road was full of struggles.

He was there for me while fighting for a title,

He was there for me when the journey was vital.

I miss his voice,

I miss his advice,

I miss his wisdom,

I miss his presence,

I miss his courage,

I miss his friendship.

I miss the friend who stood beside me,

I miss the friend who helped guide me.

I miss the friend whose heart was true,

I miss the friend who always came through.

Now that he is gone, the silence feels deep,

But the memories of our friendship I will keep.

A friend like him is not easily found,

His name and his memories will forever resound.

I missed a real friend indeed—

A friend whose friendship was more than a

need.
