Poetic Trumpet

I Went Through It Before

I did what you’re doing before.

I said what you’re saying before.

I heard what you’re hearing before.

I ate at the table where you’re dining before.

I learned what you’re learning before.

I ran the race you’re now running before.

I sang the song you’re now singing before.

I beat the drum you’re now beating before.

I bore the sharp pains you’re now bearing before.

I faced the temptations you’re now facing before.

I endured the oppression you’re now enduring before.

I faced the frustrations you’re now confronting before.

I went through what you’re now going through before.

I was once a little child.

I was once a carefree boy.

I was once a palm wine tapper.

I was once a village farmer.

I was once a lonely traveler.

I was once a sickly person.

I was once a worldly person.

I did not know Almighty God.

I painfully struggled on my own.

Yet I never gave up the struggle.

Yet I continued to endure the pain.

Yet I overcame every challenge before me.

Yet I continued to raise my rod with courage.

Yet I continued to seek the blessings of God.

Yet I remained steadfast on my path, undeterred.

Yet I continually sought God’s divine intervention.

Yet I remained faithfully on the Lord’s side.

Yet I continued my spiritual journey with hope and confidence.

Today, I stand as a living testimony

That perseverance always outlives hardship.

That faith always triumphs over fear.

That God never abandons those who trust Him.

If I made it through yesterday,

You can make it through today.

Never give up,

For your tomorrow is greater than your today.
