It Happened in Ghana

0

It was never rosy in Ghana,

It happened during Rawlings’ time.

Life was difficult, and things were not fine,

It was difficult, with little joy to find.

It was difficult, and freedom seemed confined,

It was difficult, and many fled the land.

It was difficult, yet Rawlings led the band,

It was difficult, yet Rawlings stood his ground.

It was difficult, yet revolution shook the land,

It was difficult, yet corruption faced a stand.

Rawlings stood his ground as the people cried,

Rawlings stood his ground as suffering spread wide.

Rawlings stood firm and sought to raise Ghana,

Rawlings stood firm while challenging the storm.

Rawlings stood firm, confronting the nation’s foes,

Determined to reshape the path Ghana chose.

Ghana went through pain, yet now enjoys some gains,

Ghana went through hunger, enduring hardship and strain.

Behind Rawlings, Ghana sought a brighter dawn,

Through difficult times, the nation struggled on.

Like gold refined through fire, Ghana sought to shine,

Turning years of hardship toward a future more divine.
