Madam Youngor Barco Cole, Chief Executive Officer of the NENIKPOMA Empowerment Initiative, has donated L$260,000 to more than 13 women groups in Fessibu Town and surrounding communities, alongside medical supplies to the Fessibu Clinic, in a move aimed at promoting women’s empowerment and strengthening local healthcare delivery.
The donation was made during an engagement with representatives of women groups from Fessibu and neighboring villages. The gathering provided an opportunity for the women to interact with Madam Cole, discuss their needs, and explore ways to strengthen their contributions to community development.
The financial assistance is expected to support the activities of the beneficiary groups, helping them advance their initiatives and improve their capacity to contribute to the social and economic development of their respective communities.
In addition to the financial contribution, Madam Cole donated medical supplies to the Fessibu Clinic to support healthcare services and improve access to essential medical resources for residents.
The gesture highlights the importance of community-based initiatives in addressing local needs, particularly in rural communities where women’s groups and healthcare facilities often face resource constraints.
Through the NENIKPOMA Empowerment Initiative, Madam Cole has continued to support programs focused on education, healthcare, women’s empowerment, and community development.
The engagement in Fessibu also provided an opportunity to strengthen relationships with women-led organizations and encourage their continued participation in initiatives aimed at improving livelihoods and promoting sustainable development.
The donation represents a contribution toward strengthening women’s groups and supporting essential healthcare services in Fessibu and surrounding communities in Lofa County.
