MVTC Circle 14 Graduation Disrupted

The highly anticipated graduation ceremony for the 14th cohort of the Monrovia Vocational Technical center (MVTC), was marred by unexpected disruptions on Tuesday, September 30, 2025.

In a relatively short time while parents had gathered to celebrates with their children, but students and faculty faced delays in the distribution of essential graduation materials.

‎‎The graduation meant to celebrate the achievements of youthful students in various disciples took a chaotic turn when it became apparent that caps, gowns, and diplomas, were not available for the ceremony.

Frustrated students, and their families gathered at the venue only to be met with confusion and disappointment.

‎One of the aggrieved students, John Bobby Saydee, said the administration delays were attributed to unforeseen logistical challenges that arose during the distribution process.

‎Many graduates expressed their disappointments and frustrations, as some had traveled long distances to attend the event.

“This is supposed to be one of the happiest days of our lives, but it being delayed,” said student Saydee, a graduate from the program.

‎‎”It’s disheartening to see all our hard work overshadowed by a lack of organization.”

However, many graduates expressed concerns over what should have been a day of celebration.

‎The administration has promised that all affected graduates will receive their materials promptly, and has committed to investigating the root cause of the delay to prevent future occurrences.

‎This graduation disruption serves as a reminder of the importance of thorough planning, and communication, especially during significant events that mark pivotal moments in students’ lives
