LNBA Candidate Assures Members

As members of the Liberia National Bar Association (LNBA) Gear Up this weekend in Ganta, Nimba County, to elect new leadership of the Association, Cllr. Bornor M. Varmah has assured vibrant leadership if elected their next president. The veteran Liberia lawyer stated that, he is taking to the Presidency of the LNBA lots of experience to help drive the agenda of the Association forward. The LNBA’s Presidential Candidate added that if elected as the Association next President his leadership will focused on the general welfare of lawyers in the country. Cllr. Varmah emphasized that focusing on the general welfare of lawyers in the country will be very much paramount on the agenda of the LNBA.  The LNBA current Secretary General made the statement on Monday November 25, 2024 when he appeared on the OKFM morning show in Monrovia. Cllr. Varmah is an expert of the rule of law and social protection. The veteran Liberia Lawyer informed his fellows lawyers that advocating for public defenders is also going to be vital of his administration agenda if elected as the next President of the LNBA. The LNBA current Secretary General said the present leadership headed by Sylvester Renning as President of the Bar has impacted lots of reforms. Cllr. Varmah noted that upholding the rule of laws will be paramount on the agenda of his leadership if elected LNBA next president. There enounced Liberia lawyer informed the General public that under his leadership, the LNBA will be the voice of the voiceless. He said as the next President of the LNBA, his leadership will be recognizing professionalism of lawyers in the country.  He further that strengthening the LNBA tie with others bars around the world will also be vital on his agenda. The veteran lawyer added that seeking scholarship for lawyers to advance their education abroad is also going to be very much paramount to his administration if elected the next President of the LNBA. The LNBA Secretary General said strengthening the capacity of the law school will be paramount on his administration agenda. According to him, the LNBA has the mandated to work with members of the legislature to provide professional service for that body. The LNBA presidential candidate has worked with the legislature to create the domestic law against men and passage of the Financial Management Unit. Speaking further Cllr. Varmah assured that if elected as the bar next President he is going to put into place good Financial Control System. According to him, accountability and transparency is going to be the Hallmark of his administration. Cllr. Varmah voiced out that foreign exchange programs for lawyers will also be paramount to his administration. The veteran Liberia lawyer stated that the LNBA Headquarters project will also be paramount   to his leadership. The LNBA Presidential Candidate said if elected his leadership will work with the war, economic crime court (WECC) for transitional justice. Cllr. Varmah is a 2008 graduate of the Louis Arthur Grimes School of Law with fifteen years of practice in the Legal Field. He is welled connected locally and internationally and up to the task to become the next President of the LNBA. Cllr. Varmah hail from Gbarpolu County. He is also the current Vice President of the West African Bar Association. Meanwhile, the three candidates vying for the LNBA Presidency include Cllr. G. Wiefueh Alfred Sayeh, Cllr. Bornor M. Varmah and Cllr. Preston Chea Doe.
