LDEA Arrests Narcotic Peddler

The Grand Bassa Detachment of the Liberia Drugs Enforcement Agency has arrested 29- years- old Philemon Reeves with huge quantity of narcotic substances valued approximately $160,000LRD. Officer Daniel Joe said the suspect was arrested in the EPO Concession area along with four accomplices including his fiancée. The officer disclosed that he got a scoop from an informer which eventually led him to effectuating the arrest. For his part, Suspect Philemon narrated that he has been trading marijuana, heroine and other narcotic substances in the county for nearly seven months. He further explained to reporters that these substances are normally purchased from Monrovia and transported to Bassa for business purposes. It can be recalled that President Joseph Nyuma Boakai during his first “State of the Nation Address”(SONA), declared drugs as  public health emergency. Meanwhile, the LDEA is currently taking voluntary statements from those arrested for further investigation. By: AbleejayTV
