The Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA) detachment in River Gee County has arrested four men in separate operations in Gbeapo District for allegedly being in possession of illegal narcotic substances.

According to the LDEA, the first operation was conducted on December 3, 2025, at about 3:15 p.m. in Podroken Town, Gbeapo District. The operation, carried out in collaboration with a sheriff from the Gbeapo Kanweaken City Magisterial Court, followed a court-issued search and seizure warrant.

During the raid, officers apprehended two suspects and seized approximately 233.1 grams of marijuana seeds—estimated at over 3,000 seeds—and 87 grams of processed marijuana discovered in their homes. The suspects, identified as Pastor Williams, 52, and SwenKoffi, 62, both farmers in the area, were transported to the LDEA headquarters in Fish Town. They are undergoing preliminary investigation and are expected to be forwarded to the Fish Town Magisterial Court for further legal action.

Later the same day, at about 6:45 p.m., LDEA officers assigned at the GbeapoKanweaken Checkpoint arrested two students en route to Sinoe County. The suspects, identified as Dennis D. Toe, 18, and Aaron P. Toe, 19, were allegedly found in possession of five plastics of Kush and twenty strips of Tramadol, with a combined street value of more than L$165,000.

The two young men were also taken to the LDEA headquarters in Fish Town, where they are undergoing preliminary investigation before being forwarded to the Fish Town Magisterial Court.

The LDEA River Gee Detachment says the arrests form part of ongoing efforts to curb the trafficking and distribution of narcotic substances across the country.
