Bong County Senator Johnny Kpehe has intensified his community engagement; meeting with local leaders; young people, and vulnerable residents as part of his ongoing efforts to respond to issues affecting residents.
Kpehe, who chairs the senate committee on local government, on Monday, September 21, held discussions with several local government officials on ways to strengthen coordination, and collaboration among local authorities in the delivery of public services.
He stressed the importance of effective coordination among government officials, and service providers.
He noted that stronger cooperation was necessary to improve citizens’ access to essential services.
During the engagement, Kpehe disclosed how a delegation from the joint legislative committee on health of the 55th Legislature is expected to visit the county this week as part of a nationwide assessment of health facilities.
The legislative delegation will assess the impact of resources allocated to the health sector through the national budget while also gathering firsthand information from health workers, and citizens about challenges confronting healthcare delivery.
Beyond his legislative duties, Kpehe has continued supporting students, and other residents through various community-based interventions.
