Kolleh Faces Neglect Of District’s Fury

Representative James M. Kolleh has been accused of neglecting a district he represents in Bong County.

For that, Kolleh faces criticism a troubling lack of meaningful developments, and adequate attention to the needs of ordinary constituents in District #2.

Henry S. Togbah, a resident of the district, says communities continue to face challenges in accessing basic social services, and development opportunities.

The situation has meanwhile, prompted Pa Togbah to question the impact of the current legislative representation.

He argues that residents should be seeing more tangible improvements in their communities, and says, the concerns confronting citizens cannot simply be ignored.

Pa Togbah: “Many of the locals continue to struggle with basic needs, while expectations that accompanied the election of Kolleh remain high.”

His criticism has raised questions about the level of advocacy, and development initiatives being pursued on behalf of constituents in District #2.

Togbah says elected representatives have a responsibility to ensure that the concerns of their constituents are forcefully presented to national authorities, and that available opportunities for development are pursued.

He questioned whether enough has been done to address challenges involving roads, education, healthcare, water, youth opportunities, and other basic services.

For Togbah, political representation should not end with election victories, or public appearances.

The resident’s concerns come amid growing demands for lawmakers to provide greater accountability to the people who elect them.

The criticism, however, represents Togbah’s assessment, but does not independently establish that Rep. Kolleh has failed in all aspects of his legislative responsibilities.

Up to press time, Kolleh had not responded to the allegations. Attempts to contact him through text messages on WhatsApp reportedly received no response.
