James Encourages Youth To Build Leadership

Attorney Leemu Minnie James has encouraged students and the young people to actively participate in extracurricular activities as the surest pathway to leadership development, career growth, and community service.

Attorney Leemu Minnie James is the Gender Coordinator in the Office of Vice President Jeremiah Kpan Koung.

Atty. James made the call when he appeared on a local radio station, where she stressed the importance of engaging in activities beyond the classroom.

She said, extracurricular activities provide students with valuable opportunities to gain practical experience, build confidence, and develop skills that are essential for success in today’s competitive world.

By the involvement of students in volunteer work, organizations, and community service initiatives, she said, can help youths establish meaningful networks as they prepare for future responsibilities.

Aty. James emphasized the need for networking and volunteerism, which she said, are critical components of personal and professional development.

She added that many successful individuals have benefited from experiences gained through active participation in community-based activities.

Atty. James urged students to take advantage of every opportunity available to them, “because leadership is not developed overnight, but through consistent involvement in activities that challenge and inspire growth.”

She also called on educational institutions to create environments that encourage volunteerism and student participation in extracurricular programs.

She spoke on the role of women in national development.
