Report said, a release order was surreptitiously delivered to Mr. Suah in the prison ahead of the 30 days sentenced. It is not clear up to press time late last night, as to who released Suah; where has he gone in the aftermath of his released.

Ganta former City, Amos Nyan Glehbogeay Suah, has reportedly been released from the Sanniquellie Central Prison in Nimba County.

Report said, a release order was reportedly delivered to Mr. Suah in the prison ahead of the 30 days sentenced. It is not clear up to press time late last night, as to who released Suah; where has he gone shortly, he was released.

The sources say Suah initially refused to leave the prison until he completed his jail term of 30 days.  He was quoted as saying: “I will not come out of here until I satisfied my prison term.”

Meanwhile, it is reported that some good-will community members persuaded him to abandon his self-image, and gain his freedom.

Shortly after he walked out of the correction palace, Mr. Suah was carried shoulder high by his admirers, mainly from his district in Ganta and catchment communities.

The circumstances surrounding his reported release, and his earlier refusal to leave the prison remain unclear.

Though he is yet to make a public statement, Mr. Suah was incarcerated a fortnight ago for ‘contempt’ in a controversial disputed land in Ganta, Nimba County through the Gompa Magisterial Court. He was sentenced for 30 days.

Suah’s imprisonment came a week after the magisterial court found him guilty of ‘contempt’ for remarks he made when he appeared on the Day Break Gompa program on Voice of Gompa.

Though his two minutes interview did not mention anything about the court, Suah’s comments, in which he called for the impeachment of Chief Justice Yamie Quiqui Gbeisay, and criticized the judiciary over a Ganta property demolition, were interpreted by the court as intentional to incite the public to defy judicial authority, and risked bringing the administration of justice into disrepute.

The demolition followed a Ganta Magisterial Court order that the Supreme Court enforced; the disputed land was alleged by the Chief Justice to belong to the Turay family.

Suah, who denied the chief justice’s allegations that he occupied, or sold portions of the land, and dismissed Gbeisay’s knowledge of Nimba County land matters, was ordered to appear with legal counsel on Tuesday, September 29, at 2 p.m.

Before the court’s decision, the Gompa Magisterial Court had summoned Suah after he made the statement against Chief Justice Gbeisay.

The court summoned Suah to appear before it and show cause why he cannot be committed to prison, fine or other punishments for his recent statement against the court.

According to the Court, during Suah’s recent radio appearance, he uttered words, and statements intended to incite members of the public to defy, resist, or violently oppose the lawful order, and authority of the judiciary.

The communication dated September 24, and addressed to Suah from the Gompa Magisterial Court noted that the respondent (Suah) must show cause why he should not be committed to prison, fine or punishments for demeaning, scandalizing, and lowering the authority of the Court during his recent appearance on a local radio talk show in Ganta.

The radio talk show was hosted on Voice of Gompa early morning radio program called ‘Day Break Gompa.’

The Court further stated that Suah’s actions, and utterances tend to bring the administration of justice into disrepute, contempt, and public ridicule.

“You are hereby COMANDED to appear in person along with legal counsel before this Honorable Gompa Magisterial Court on Tuesday, September 29, @ 2 p.m. to show cause why you should not be committed to prison, fine, or otherwise punished for contempt of court.”

The Court warned Suah to abide by its legal mandate, stressing that his failure will lead to his arrest and other legal actions.

Meanwhile, the Court action has sparked huge concern in Gantan, and its surroundings as many people are of the opinions that the court action is fueled by the Chief Justice as the words of war continue between, he and Suah.

While on the other hand, others saying that if the Court actions is fuel by Chief Justice Gbeisay, it will serve as a setback for the Nimba County solidarity that many preached daily.

However, there has being no prove of the chief Justice been behind the Court’s actions.
