Grand Kru Technical College (GKTC) has taken a major step to strengthen digital access at the institution with the successful installation of Starlink internet service at its main campus.
The new connectivity is expected to improve access to the internet for students, faculty, and administrators, while creating greater opportunities for online learning, academic research, communication, and access to global educational resources.
The installation of the Starlink service is part of its commitment to modernize the institution, and create an academic environment that responds to the growing importance of technology in education.
The administration said, reliable internet connectivity is essential to the College’s efforts to provide students with the tools, and resources needed to succeed in today’s increasingly digital world.
The administration further said, the new service will support teaching, learning, research, administrative communication, and access to online platforms, and educational materials that were previously difficult for students, and faculty to access, “because of limited or unreliable internet connectivity.”
“This is an important step in our commitment to build a more connected, and technologically equipped institution.”
The initiative intends to benefit both students, and faculty.
