Former Grand Bassa Supt. Fears Arrest
Janjay Baikpeh, leader of the protest group “Concerned Citizens,” has raised an alarm about reported plans by the Liberia National Police (LNP) to have him arrested. In a Facebook post, Baikpeh confirmed that he has been receiving multiple messages and calls informing him that his name is on a list of individuals to be apprehended by LNP Director Gregory Coleman. He urged authorities to follow due process, saying, “My advice to you is, please come with your writ from the court,” emphasizing that any arrest should be executed according to the law. Baikpeh’s statement comes amid an ongoing investigation into the burning of the Capitol building following the protest. However, the Liberia National Police has yet to make any official statement confirming or addressing Baikpeh’s claims regarding the reported arrest plans. By: Ableejaystaff
