As political attention gradually turns toward the 2029 legislative elections,
Montserrado County Electoral District #9 representative hopeful, Sie D. Anderson, has received recognition from Excellent Media Incorporated.
The group recognized Anderson for his contributions to community development, education, youth empowerment, and public welfare.
Anderson’s recognition came as he eyes the 2029 race for the district.
He was honored over the weekend, during a ceremony at a resort in Monrovia that brought congregated members of his team and well-wishers, who celebrated his community engagement, and development initiatives.
The recognition comes as Anderson continues to build his public profile in District #9 through community-based activities, particularly in Matadi Estate and surrounding communities.
Anderson was represented at the ceremony by his Special Assistant, Isaiah H. Togba, who accepted the Award on his behalf.
Togba expressed appreciation to the medica group for recognizing Anderson’s contributions to the district.
“We appreciate the honor from an institution that has observed Anderson’s work in District #9, Montserrado County.”
Togba said, the recognition will encourage Anderson to sustain his community initiatives, and continue to improve the lives of residents, particularly the young ones.
He also called on Anderson’s supporters, and associates to continue offering constructive advice to strengthen his engagement with the locals.
Anderson’s community activities included initiatives that expanded educational opportunities and support to young people.
In September, he launched a back-to-school outreach program that distributed schoolbags, copybooks, and pencils to children.
The initiative was to help families prepare their children for school as well as ease some of the financial pressures associated with purchasing basic learning materials.
Beyond education, Anderson has supported the renovation of a community basketball court, and the construction of a public bus stop.
He also financed the renovation of a public latrine in Wroto Town, Airfield, Sinkor, as part of efforts to improve sanitation and access to public facilities.
Anderson is certain to unseat incumbent Representative Frank Saah Foko, Jr., a member of the opposition Congress for Democratic Change.
