Grand Cape Mount County District #3 Representative, Gbessie Soni Feika, has constructed a new bridge linking Guassay, Bumbohun and Nganu towns, where residents have over the years face series of challenges, particularly during the raining season.

The project is to foster economic growth.

The bridge, which is to be 100 percent completed anytime soon, is not just the infrastructure project testament of Rep. Feika commitment to her constituents, but also a crucial step towards advancing the county development goals.

She said the bridge is strategically located; connecting vital trade routes, and improve access to essential services.

“It has been designed with the input of local communities to ensure that it meets the needs of the people,” said Rep. Feike.

“The bridge symbolizes more than just concrete and steel; but the current location, it represents opportunity, connection and hope for the district future,” Rep. Feika told a gathering during a recent community meeting.

She told the gathering that as the construction progresses, the project is expected to create numerous jobs opportunities, providing a boost to the local economy where local laborers and suppliers will be prioritized, amplifying the ripple effects of this investment throughout the community.

Some of the residents expressed optimism about the bridge potential to transform the area, allowing farmers better access to markets, and enabling students to reach schools more easily, regardless of seasonal challenges.

“This bridge will change our lives,” said a local farmer, highlighting the significance of the project.
