European Union Gears Up -For Southeastern Electrification Project
Today, EU Ambassador Nona Deprez co-chaired the first Steering Committee meeting on the implementation of the β¬42 million Rural Electrification Project for Southeastern Liberia, focusing on Buchanan, Greenville, and Barclayville. The meeting brought together key stakeholders, including Deputy Ministers of Finance and Development Planning, Mines and Energy, the Executive Director of the Rural and Renewable Energy Agency (RREA), the Interim Managing Director of LEC, the Country Manager for TRANSCO-CLSG, development partners, and contractors. Discussions centered on progress, challenges, and mitigation strategies, ensuring effective implementation.
