Sinoe County Senator Crayton Oldman Duncan has committed his presidency to ending corruption, if elected.
Duncan pledged to eradicate corruption if elected President in 2029 at the polls.
As a political leader of the Proposed People’s Economic Movement, Duncan said, his candidacy for the presidency is driven by a commitment to eliminate corruption that is undermining every fabric of the country.
He made the commitment to jubilant supporters at a one-day sports gathering in the Lee Hill Community of Johnsonville Township, Montserrado County.
Duncan stressed the need for the nation to benefit from its natural resources, which he claimed, are being exploited by foreign investors, leaving local communities with little of nothing as benefits in return.
He recalled how a small number of Liberians have benefited from the nation’s wealth while ordinary citizens continue to live in abject poverty.
“I want to end corruption, and ensure that your natural resources are returned to you if I am elected the president.”
He urged his supporters not to vote along party lines, but instead, to choose individuals who are ready to make the right decisions for the betterment of the country.
