Dr. Dahn Takes Rep. Kolleh To Task -For Attacking Justice Gbeisay
“Quite recently, Representative James Kolleh termed the remarks by Associate Justice Yarmie Gbeisay in the Circuit Court in Sanniquellie as a ” liquor talk.” Such a statement by someone who claims to be a lawmaker to a Supreme Court Justice not only is it disturbing but shows his limitation as a legislative member who does not know his right hand from his left. It’s a shame and disgrace to have an immature and half-educated being who’s not transformed and refined in thoughts and actions to represent the decent people of District #2 in Bong County,” Dr. Kadiker Rex Dahn hit back at Bong County Electoral District Two Representative. Dr. Dahn said Representative Kolleh’s remarks against Justice Gbeisay were despicable, naive and demonstrated his ineptitude at the highest level; adding, “James Kolleh remarks against Justice Gbeisay, and the Supreme Court disqualified him as a lawmaker. He has also tainted the majority bloc. He said the remarks also showed the “majority bloc” as legislative cancer that surgically needs to be removed, indicating that such a cancer is destroying the fabric of Liberia’s democratic existence. “In my opinion, why such character like James Kolleh should in the first place be a member of such an honorable body? I want to be emphatic here, Mr. James Kolleh, know this: if you attack a citizen of Nimba County in such form and manner, you will feel the weight of Nimba County. Furthermore, when the Supreme Court, again comes under attack in such form and manner in an attempt to undermine and derail the democratic process, you qualify yourself for an international targeted sanctions,” Dr. Dahn stressed. According to him, Representative Kolleh’ actions may deter investors in that no serious business person in the right mind would invest in a country where the Supreme Court of the land is under siege; noting, “Investors rely on the courts for protection, and if the courts and their judges are undermined, certainly, harm is being done to the country. Kolleh ‘s reckless attack on Justice Gbeisay and the Supreme Court may undermine Boakai’s administration.” Kadiker Rex Dahn holds two masters and a PhD from the University of Oklahoma. He respectively served as Deputy Minister of Education and Deputy Director General, National Commission on Higher Education.
