Diaspora Liberians To Drive National Transformation
President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, has called on Liberians living abroad to use their expertise, investments, skills, and professional networks to drive the national transformation.
Boakai call was contained in an address he delivered at the Presidential Town Hall with members of the Liberian community in Washington, D.C., Maryland and Virginia area.
Pres. Boakai, according to a dispatch, said Diaspora Liberians are an important partner in the development drive.
He urged them to move beyond dialogue toward practical contributions that will produce measurable results.
The town hall dialogue, held at the Harvest InterContinental Church in Olney, Maryland, followed the President’s participation in the 2026 Liberia Diaspora Conference.
The conference was held under the theme: “From Dialogue to Delivery: Mobilizing the Global Liberian Diaspora for National Transformation.”
Pres. Boakai said, the theme aligns with the administration’s desire to deepen engagement with Liberians abroad by connecting Diaspora expertise, enterprise, investment, and professional networks to national development priorities.
