The Minister of labour, Cooper Kruah has again assured the fullest support and protection of the Rescue Mission Government of President Joseph Nyumah to religious freedom and human rights protection. Minister Ktuah’s assurance came when he served as special Guest of Honor at programs marking the 21st International JALSA  SALANA, Liberia Chapter of the Ahmadiya Muslim Jama’at Organization which got underway at their Po River Headquarters, just outside Monrovia.

He added that the diversity and plurality of religious beliefs and voices is an asset, and as such it is their role as political leaders to protect them by upholding dialogue and the rule of law at national and international levels, ensuring the peace and stability everyone deserves.  Minister Kruah also declared that religious diversity and inclusion are key to guide Liberians First for Job Placement Policy’ which according to him is an extension of The ARREST AGENDA’ of President Joseph Nyumah Boakai Government. According to the Labour Minister, violence, war, fundamentalism, the lack of respect for human rights, inter-religious violence and the protection of our women and children are today some of our main problems people face, stressing that it is the new unprecedented challenges that question the core of values today. Minister Kruah, referencing United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres, universal declaration for the protection of religious beliefs and human rights which states: “Inclusive societies serve as inhibitors of violence and war. Justice, Democracy, transparency and good neighborly relations are guarantors of peace” and as such everyone should prioritizing what best for the growth and development of the country.

He at the same time lauded the Ahmadiya Muslim sect worldwide, with international headquarters in the United Kingdom for their peaceful religious beliefs and initiation of meaningful projects across the globe, of which Liberia is no exception.  Meanwhile the Liberian Labour Minister named several medical and educational facilities provided by the Ahmadiya Muslim Jama’at Liberia, saying, they are positive contributions of religion, again assuring President Boakai’s Government commitment to protecting the international leadership and members across, stressing that once they remain within the confines of the law.  Moreover Minister Kruah also reflected on the Ahmadiya Muslim Jama’at mission to Liberia in the late 1950s, under the regime of then late former President William V. S. Tubman, saying that since when they have remained an important religious partner to successive regimes, including the current ‘Rescue Mission Government’, which he said fully supports their work. “This, is part of the organic law of our country, the constitution which calls for freedom of religion, family protection, human rights and rules of law; all in national interest” Minister Kruah lamented. Speaking earlier, Maulana Naveed Adii, Amir and Missionary In-Charge of Liberia Chapter, expressed his organization’s commendation to the Liberian Government and people for the level of support and protection in support of their mission.  He disclosed that the Ahmadiya Muslim Jama’at Liberia will expand its programs in several other areas in the coming years to benefit the ordinary citizens. At the same time the 21st International JALSA SALANA Conference of The Ahmadiya Muslim Jama’at is being attended by over one thousand faithful’s and followers of the Islamic Sect, drawn from across the country and was a three day event. The Ahmadiya Muslim Jama’at was founded in 1889, spanning over 200 countries with membership exceeding tens of millions. It is the only Islamic Sect to believe that the long-awaited Messiah has come in the person of Mirza Ghulam Ahmad, from 1835 to 1908 of Qadian. The Islamic Sect believes in redressing man’s numerous problems through tolerance and peaceful coexistence.
