“CDCians Are Unpatriotic”

“It behooves me to say that some CDcians are blaming us for elevating the plights of our Lonestar to our national government. Wow! Are you still embittered that Luther Tarpeh, and Amos Tweh, and others led the political campaign that dislodged you from the helm of power? And that defeat has rendered you mentally deranged that you can no longer distinguish between politics, and an act of patriotic service?  Don’t worry, I am still here. No leave. No transfer,”—Tarpeh.

The governing Unity Party chairperson, Luther Tarpeh, has expressed resentment with opposition partisans of the Congress for Democratic Change (CDC).

For the loss, he branded CDcians as “unpatriotic to nation-building, specifically to sports.”

Tarpeh claimed it was CDCians, who wished the Lonestar a defeat at the hands of Mali in the ongoing African Nations Cup qualifiers.

Hear him: “We want to thank the Liberian people for their unflinching support to the Lone Star today (Tuesday, September 29). The turnout was amazing!  Rome was not built in one day. Let us not be discouraged! Let us support our national team until we build a formidable and competitive team in Africa.”

Tarpeh said, it was in the same vein; “it behooves me that some CDcians are blaming us for elevating the plights of our Lonestar to our national government. No leave. No transfer.”

He added: “Your political leader played the game, and even used the football platform to gain national and international prominence, and yet he did nothing to promote the national team during his regime (2018 to 2024).

Oh! Because he failed, and turned blind eye to the national team plight, so this means our government must not address these perennial issues confronting our national team? During your regime, there are records that Nathaniel McGill, and others were appointed to lead the national mobilization team for the Lone Star. Oh!  it was not wrong then? Hmm!

We came on board with a clear heart of patriotism to understand the causal reasons affecting our national team, and proffer lasting solution.

During my visit to Casablanca to watch the Lone Star and Libya friendly in Morocco, I had a frank discussion with the team, and highlighted notable challenges our national team was facing. Upon my return, those issues were elevated to the national assembly, and executive branch of government.

The President and our dynamic Youth and Sports Minister took on the challenge, and agreed to address these issues confronting our nation. I am proud to mobilize my government to show vested interest in the national team. I will even do more if I have to.

Now the boys are happy to give their best for the country even though the last two matches did not bring forth the needed results we expect. But our hope is not totally dashed yet.

If not that I have very good few friends in the CDC corridor, I would launch a campaign to donate these people called CDcians somewhere else so they can leave our country alone because of their detestable reasoning capacity, and unpatriotic characteristics, and toxic outlook on any good thing that raise Liberia national and  international profile.

Because they didn’t address Lone Star problems during their regime. So, our government must do nothing to ameliorate the situation.

The Crab mentality CDcians, get used to it. We will give our best to any sector needing our attention and leadership.  Trust me! We will provide the needed support for our national team until we build a competitive team in the sub region.  I love my country, and I love my Lone Star.”
