Boakia Calls For Enhanced Trade Investment, Stronger Bilateral Ties
President Joseph N. Boakai has emphasized the need for stronger collaboration in trade, investment, and youth empowerment as he deepens bilateral ties with Israel, Colombia, Switzerland, and Mauritania, among other nations.President Boakai made these remarks during a formal ceremony at the Executive Mansion, where newly appointed ambassadors from the four countries presented their Letters of Credence, which symbolizes their respective governments’ commitment to fostering robust diplomatic relations with Liberia. Highlighting the longstanding relationship between Liberia and Israel, President Boakai expressed gratitude for Israel’s contributions, including its pivotal role in constructing Liberia’s iconic Executive Mansion, and called for continued partnerships aimed at driving Liberia’s development. “Liberia has come a long way, and with the help of our international partners, we can build a future where Liberia is counted among the world’s developed nations,” President Boakai stated. In his remarks, Roey Gilad, the Ambassador of Israel, reaffirmed his government’s commitment to strengthening bilateral ties and highlighted the historical bond between Liberia and Israel, pledging to support Liberia’s development agenda through trade, investment, and other collaborative efforts. Ambassador Daniel Graces Carabali of Colombia, Ambassador Dominique Michel Favre of Switzerland, and Ambassador Mohamed Abdellahi Khattra of Mauritania also expressed their country’s readiness to enhance mutual collaboration.
