Apostle Carr Honored By: Feona Benson Kollie
As the saying goes, give the man his flowers while he is still alive was demonstrated when Apostle Dr. Samuel B. Carr, of the Triumphant Living Miracle Assemblies Church in Gardnersville was over the weekend and honored by a civil society group under the banner- the Citizens United For Better Liberia in collaboration with the Liberian Media Network. The Executive Director of the group, Kesseley Barzah, disclosed that their decision to honor the man of God was due to his continual contributions to the growth and development of Liberia, both physically and spiritually.
He added that the work that is being done by Apostle Carr cannot be overemphasized, maintaining that he has over the years impacted the lives of Liberians physically, educationally, and spiritually, which according to him, has brought and continues to bring change to the lives of residents of Gardnersville and its environs and even across the country. Mr. Barzah also told the gathering that the group’s recognition is usually being given to individuals, whom according to him, have contributed or are currently contributing to the growth and development of the country. He noted that Apostle Carr diligent spiritual ability to ensuring Liberians have a safe nation, his leadership ability, the empowerment, education of Liberian youthful generation and also his constant prayer for the nation worth recognition, stressing that it was upon this backdrop that the CUFBL has decided to honor him. He, at the same time, urged the Man of God to continue the good work and also called on other well-meaning Liberians to emulate the shining example of the preacher man for the betterment of the country. Receiving the honor, Apostle Carr commended the head of the group for the recognition which he said was not just ordinary but the will of God. He further explained that his honor was also a surprise to him, maintaining that he did not know that his works or contributions to society were being observed. Apostle Carr further narrated that making Liberia a better place has been his dream and as such, he will continue to work in the best interest of the country. Moreover, the preacher also told the gathering that his main goal is to improve the livelihood of Liberians, both physically and spiritually; especially the youthful generation who, according him, are the future leaders. He, meanwhile, challenged other civil society groupings of Liberia to see the appreciation of individuals who have contributed and are still contributing to the growth and development of the country as a way of encouragement for the betterment of the country.
