‘Take Your Hands Off Wologisi’

– Deputy Speaker Warned

Librarian Journalist Shammah Dorbor, who hails from Lofa County, has warned House Deputy Speaker Thomas Fallah, to stop lobbying to give Wologisi out for exploration.

“Wologisi, a Lorma dialect meaning “crying mountain,” is bigger than the expressed deceptive view of Rep. Fallah; an approach interpreted as economic revitalization or unprecedented growth, but sincerely, in keeping with the legacy of this lawmaker, it is clear that the true intent is not about the prosperity of Lofa and Lofians, but the privileged few,” Dorbor claimed.

He said, Wologisi is bigger than the temporary uncontrollable appetite of Rep. Fallah and his godfather (not named). “If all of our natural resources are depleted without traceable benefits to local inheritance; leaving the country as an underdeveloped nation, we will not preserve our traditional heritage and blessing – most secure source for future economic prosperity,” he noted.

“Until we can restructure and ensure greater benefits to the country and its citizens from already signed concessions, leave Wologisi alone. Our tradition is linked to her, our history and identity as a people is tied to her survival, and hope for a prosperous tomorrow is guaranteed by the action to preserve her,” Dorbor said.
