St. Simon Baptist Church celebrates Father Day
The Men’s Ministry of the St. Simon Baptist Church on Sunday July 13,2025 celebrated 33rd Annual Father’s Day in observance of the 102nd Anniversary celebration.

Speaking at the celebration, Rev. Clement Tegbeh Woods of the Providence Baptist Church has challenged Liberian fathers to remain strong in strengthen the family value in Liberia.
Rev. Woods stated that Liberian fathers have major role to play in the transformation and the developments of the country, family is the foundation of the society and fathers are the head of the families.
Families should be strong in the things of God.
He noted that some Liberian fathers have been disrespected and neglected by some children which he described as unfortunate, adding that the Bible admonish that children should honored their fathers, so that their days should be long on earth.
He pointed out that Liberian fathers should always pray, protect and provide for their families with the knowledge of God the present over them.
Rev. Woods stressed the wickedness has increase severely around the world and Liberia is not exception, but with God in their life all things are possible, so they should be committed in doing God’s works in the church.
Meanwhile, the Father of the year, Deacon Onesimus M. Davis urged Liberian youth to be obedient, respectful, persistent, patience and commitment n serving God, adding that these virtues can transform their situation in life.
Deacon Davis stated that developing these virtues will go a long way to develop the potential of young people in Liberia.
According to him, it is about time that Liberian men to set good example in society to encourage the young people and youth to emulate.
For his part, the Director of the Men’s Ministry of the St. Simon Baptist Church, Deacon Fitzgerald TM Biago said the pool project of the church is overdue and the Men’s Ministry has budget US$2,000.00 to help complete the pool project.
Director Biago stated that the ministry also selected Deacon Onesimus M. Davis to be honored as “Father of the year 2025 and 2026” as the result of his commitment, dedication and several contributions toward growth and development of the church over the years.
