Media Group Honors LCAA

 In a significant recognition of its commitment to excellence, the Liberia Civil Aviation Authority (LCAA) has been awarded the title of Best Performing Government Institution of the Year for 2025/2026.

This honor reflects the LCAA’s dedication to enhancing service quality, productivity, and innovative regulatory supervision aimed at promoting a safe and efficient civil aviation sector in Liberia.

In his acceptance speech, Deputy Director General for Administration- Stephen Johnson emphasized that the award underscores the LCAA’s vision to become a world-class leader in the regulation and promotion of aviation, fostering its safe and orderly development in alignment with international standards set by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).

The award was presented by a media group under the banner of Hope TV Liberia. “The LCAA is proud to accept this award, which we view as a testament to our relentless efforts in enhancing aviation safety, security, and efficiency,” said Johnson.

“We believe that our commitment to teamwork, continuous improvement, and professional development plays a pivotal role in achieving safety standards that meet and exceed global benchmarks.”

The Liberia Civil Aviation Authority holds a critical mandate to oversee the regulation, development, and operational efficiency of civil aviation in Liberia.

.Safety and Security Oversight: Ensuring compliance with national and international civil safety and security regulations.

.Air Traffic Management: Facilitating the safe and efficient movement of air traffic within Liberian airspace and establishing operational regulations.

.Aviation Safety and Security: Enforcing aviation safety standards, conducting aircraft inspections, and overseeing airport security protocols.

.Certification and Licensing: Certifying airlines and issuing Air Safety Licenses for both commercial and private aircraft.
