Let none win your trust;
Let none become your heartbeat;
Let none become your utmost focus;
Let none become your deepest dream.
Nothing in this world exists forever;
Therefore, surrender your trust to none.
Everything is a shadow that fades with nightfall;
Trust no physical beauty—it never truly lasts.
Trust no physical strength—it, too, will never last.
Trust no happiness—for sorrow may follow behind it.
Trust no man’s love—for hatred may stand behind it.
Trust no man’s promise—for betrayal may follow behind it.
Trust no peace—for conflict may rise behind it.
Trust no politician—for some may promise much and deliver little.
Trust nothing merely because it shines today;
What shines today may fade tomorrow.
Build your trust not in things that perish,
But in the truth that stands beyond time.
