The Fool Says There’s No God

0

The fool foolishly says there is no God,

Although he is surrounded by wonders;

Although he drinks the water made by God,

Although he breathes the air made by God,

Although he sees the sky made by God,

Although he walks upon the soil made by God.

He sees the day escorted by the sun,

He sees the night escorted by the moon,

He sees the wind blowing so wonderfully,

He hears the thunder roaring thunderously,

He sees the sun traveling across the sky,

He sees the moon surrounded by stars,

He sees the mountains standing beautifully,

He sees nature providing for his needs,

Yet he vehemently argues that there is no God.

The fool sees truth and calls it a lie.

The fool sees reality and calls it triviality.

The fool sees colors and calls them black.

The fool has eyes, but eyes that cannot see.

The fool has a mind, but a mind that cannot open.

The fool has a nose, but a nose that cannot smell.

He lives among wonders,

Yet refuses to acknowledge their Maker.

He walks through creation every day,

Yet denies the existence of the Creator.

He sees the evidence before his eyes,

Yet closes the eyes of his understanding.

The fool says there is no God,

But creation continues to speak.

The heavens continue to declare their glory,

Nature continues to reveal its beauty,

And the world continues to bear witness

To the God whom the fool refuses to see.
