Bong County Senator Prince Kermue Moye, has fulfilled a promise he made during his countywide citizens’ engagement tour.
Moye delivered a comprehensive support package worth L$650,000, a motorcycle, and 100 plastic chairs to the Phebe Airstrip Community.
The donation fulfilled a commitment he made during his June 28 visit, when he assured residents that he would support women’s economic empowerment and strengthen the operations of his local support team.
The County Coordinator, Daniel Giddings Kerkulah, who represented Moye at the ceremony, officially handed the items over to community representatives.
The donation included L$500,000 for the women to expand small business activities, L$150,000, and one motorcycle for Team Moye, and 100 plastic chairs to support community meetings and public events.
Kerkulah said, Sen. Moye remains committed to fulfill every promise he made to his people.
Moye, he said, believes meaningful leadership is demonstrated through action rather than words, and therefore, remains dedicated to improve the lives of ordinary citizens.
Receiving the donation,
Community members, who received the donated items, expressed appreciation for Moye’s commitment to development.
Team Moye Chairlady Lusu Gbelai said, the L$500,000 will be jointly managed by members of the organization, and invested in income-generating activities to improve the economic well-being of women and their families.
Team Moye representative Edwin Gbor thanked Sen. Moye for honoring his commitment, and assured the community that the resources would be responsibly managed and used for their intended purposes.
