The Winners Academy Daycare and Elementary School has graduated five students for their “excellent performances.”

The program marked the closing of the school’s 2nd graduation exercise held at the House of Soul Global Ministry,

located in central Louisiana Township.

The guest speaker, Timothy Shark Verdier, awarded an academic prize to student Lydia M. Page, on behalf of his family for her “determination.”

Student Page of the 6th grade class served as the valedictorian. She’s one of the outstanding students, who received the full scholarship at the local community level.

During the program, Mr. Verdier sparingly told the students to focus on learning regardless of the situation they are face with today.

“Believe in yourself, the building doesn’t matter; where you start your school doesn’t matter. But when you believe in yourself, the sky is your limit,” Verdier challenged the graduates.

He commended the teachers, who have endured low income, and facilities and also encouraged the Parents Teachers Association to work in partnership with the school administration.

The founder and principal, Abraham Lincoln Teage, continues his appeal for humanitarian support to the vision of the school.
