Authorities at the Liberia Immigration Service (LIS), have with immediate effect, disrobed one of its officers, Edward K. Dagoseh.
Dagoseh’s disgrace followed his arrest in connection with an alleged drug trafficking case in Grand Cape Mount County.
A LIS release issued over the weekend said, Dagoseh was apprehended by joint security forces on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at about 10 a.m. in Tienii, Grand Cape Mount County, while trafficking illegal substances to the country.
The release further that preliminary findings revealed that the officer was found in possession of 48 boxes containing 480 scripts, amounting to approximately 48,000 tablets suspected to be illicit substances.
In line with its professional standards and zero-tolerance policy against criminal conduct, LIS Commissioner General, Elijah F. Rufus, ordered the immediate disrobement of Officer Dagoseh, and his removal from all official duties.
The released stated. “The Service confirmed that the officer has been turned over to the Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA) for a full-scale investigation in accordance with national laws and due process.
Additionally, the LIS Professional Standards Division has pledged full cooperation with the LDEA, and other security institutions to ensure a transparent and credible investigation.
The LIS meanwhile, assured Liberians and the international community that it remains steadfast in upholding integrity, professionalism, and accountability.
